Please keep the following in mind when applying for a job at Gossip Girl Lovers:
  • This job is to be taken seriously. If you plan to apply for a job, that means you are willing to work and be a part of the staff.
  • If you only use the Internet an hour a week, a job with Gossip Girl Lovers is probably not the best decision.
  • Your age will not be a determining factor for whether you will receieve the job. We just like to have an idea of the ages of our staff members.

  • If you are applying for a job such as Graphics Designer, we may further contact you after your application submission for a portfolio sample of previous work.
  • Note that some positions have more than one opening for each.
  • Below is a description of the jobs available so you can decide if one of the positions sounds right for you. Full duties of the position will be given to you once you have been approved for the job.

EPISODE REVIEWER:
The position of Episode Reviewer involves writing a weekly article about the aired episode.
From this job, we expect the applicant to have sufficient spelling/grammar etiquette.
There is not a set limit to the size of the review written, but at least a paragraph per episode is expected.
This includes an original summary written, as well as your personal review of the episode.
Basically, you are a critic for our site.

GALLERY UPKEEPER:
The position of Gallery Upkeeper involves finding images to be including on the gallery of our site.
Images can come from the Internet, books, newspapers, magazines, etc.
It may be required that you tag the images with our site's title to keep the images from being used on other sites.
The job may also require you to upload the images to our gallery and keeping up with the organization of the gallery's folders.
If you have the proper equipment and are interested, you may also fulfill the job of screencapper. Please include this in your application under the Comments section.

GRAPHICS DESIGNER:
The position of Graphics Designer includes the design of multiple types of media found on our site.
Examples include wallpapers, avatars, buddy icons, link back buttons, and banners.
We expect that your graphic designing skills are sufficient enough to be acceptable for use on the site.
We do not require that you use a specific program for the design of your graphics, as long as the graphics are of good quality.
At first, we may have you make a large quantity of graphics for our Media section, but after that your work load will slow down tremendously.
If we feel that your graphic skills are sufficient enough, we may have you create some layouts for the site.

NEWS EDITOR:
The position of News Editor includes the collection of multiple news articles about the show, Gossip Girl, its cast members, and any relating affiliates.
Articles can be collected from Internet sources, magazines, newspapers, etc.
We expect that you stay up-to-date with information about Gossip Girl and cast members.
Original articles written by you are not required with this position.

SCREENCAPPER:
The position of Screencapper includes the production of image stills for each episode of Gossip Girl.
Using the correct equipment, we expect you to have multiple images produced that can be included on the gallery portion of the site.
Keep in mind that this is a very time-consuming job, so if you do not have the free time in your schedule to do it, please don't apply for it.

TRANSCRIPT WRITER:
The position of Transcript Writer includes the study of each Gossip Girl episode and production of the dialogue contained in the episode.
You can use Microsoft Word, Word Pad, or any other document software to write your transcripts.
The inclusion of non-spoken dialogue and mannerisms is not required with the transcript, but accepted.
Please keep in mind that this is a very time-consuming job as well.
